The announcement
A historic milestone for motorsports in Arunachal Pradesh
For years, off-road communities, ATV groups, motocross riders, adventure organisations and tourism promoters across Arunachal Pradesh worked independently — running expeditions, rallies and awareness campaigns that showed the State at its best. What they did not have was a common platform.
On 21 June 2026, at Likabali in Lower Siang District, delegates from clubs across the State resolved unanimously to establish the Arunachal Motorsport Association as the apex body for motorsport in Arunachal Pradesh — democratic, inclusive, non-political, and answerable to its member clubs.
The Association exists to do more than run races. Its mandate covers adventure tourism, youth development, road safety, anti-drug awareness, cultural promotion, environmental stewardship and community development.
“AMA will work as an inclusive platform dedicated to bringing together all motorsport organisations under the vision of One State, One Motorsport Community, One Vision.”
Shri Likha Tacho, President
