Likabali, 21 June 2026 In a landmark development for the motorsports fraternity of Arunachal Pradesh, representatives of motorsport clubs and adventure organisations from across the State unanimously resolved to establish the Arunachal Motorsport Association (AMA) as the apex body for motorsports in the State.

The resolution was adopted at the 2nd Consultative Meeting held at Osie Garden Resort, Likabali, Lower Siang District, under the chairmanship of Er. Kenjum Nyori. The meeting was held in continuation of the 1st Consultative Meeting convened at Itanagar on 13 June 2026, and was attended by delegates of leading off-roading, ATV, adventure and motorsport clubs from various districts of Arunachal Pradesh.

Deliberating under the theme "One State, One Motorsport Community: Building a Unified Platform for Adventure, Tourism, Safety and Sporting Excellence in Arunachal Pradesh", the House discussed the organisational framework, membership structure, roles and responsibilities, governance mechanisms and the future roadmap of the Association. The draft byelaws were taken up clause-wise, amended and adopted, following which the nomenclature of the Association was approved and its formation formally declared.

The Association has been mandated to promote motorsports, adventure tourism, youth engagement, road safety and responsible motorsport activities across Arunachal Pradesh, while working towards structured events, standardised safety protocols and institutional recognition for the State's motorsport community.

The House thereafter unanimously elected the first Executive Body of the Arunachal Motorsport Association, with Shri Likha Tacho of Green Adventure Park (GAP) elected as President and Shri Jumnya John Dini of Bisonbill Offroaders Club (BBOC) elected as General Secretary.

Speaking on the occasion, the office bearers described the initiative as historic, marking the beginning of a new era for organised motorsports in Arunachal Pradesh, and expressed confidence that the Association will contribute significantly to sports development, tourism promotion, youth empowerment and community engagement across the State.

The proceedings concluded with a group photograph session and a fellowship banquet hosted by the Bisonbill Offroaders Club, with the Association reaffirming its guiding spirit — United by Passion, Driven by Responsibility.

AMA will work as an inclusive platform dedicated to bringing together all motorsport organisations under the vision of One State, One Motorsport Community, One Vision.
